Through my experiences, I can honestly say that I agree with these descriptions of male and female language. Obviously not everyone complies with these descriptions, but for the most part these generalizations are true. Every female deals with their problems in very various ways yet there is always one similarity: girlfriends are a necessity in resolving those problems. When I look back at high school, I see a nonstop cycle of gossip, lies, fights, boyfriends, and heartaches. These were the toughest years of my life so far and I am glad I did not have to go through them alone. In any bad situation, the first to be by my side were my girls. They helped me realize things that I already knew deep down, but needed to hear it out loud to believe. Social War "That's her, that's the new girl. That's Holly Bennett. She is going to be in our group and not theirs," Mandi told us, as Holly shyly made her way over to the teachers desk. Our regular gang was sitting in the middle of 8th grade English. We were all seated in a circle in the back corner of the old, smelly classroom. Our "enemies," as we called them, were seated in the opposite corner. Mandi, Summer, Kristi, Lindsey, Anna and I were all pretty close friends then. It seemed like you had to be in one of two groups, ours or theirs, to even be talked to by everybody else. Our "enemies," were more or less what you might call the "preppies". They were the few who could get the boys to do whatever they wanted, had lots of high school friends, and could look at the teacher the right way, to get an A on their reports. We got along fine with them, except when a new girl came into our class. The new girls always seemed to start a cold war between us. Last time, we tried everything to get the new girl, Kristi, to hang out with us instead of the preps. We ended up "winning" Kristi over, which made the new meat worth even more. As Mrs. Gallegos, our elderly, over weight teacher, was introducing Holly, many thoughts went racing through our heads. I think we were all pretty much thinking along the same lines, "She's ours." As Holly took a seat over near the door, we began conversing among ourselves. Holly was skinny, tall, had brownish hair and seemed to be very shy. This made several things easy for us. The clauses in the agreement are shielded from public scrutiny, this leads to transparency issue arise and making it an organization without public accountability. For example, 80% of the oil produced by Petronas is not sold directly to the world market but is channeled through six ‘option holders' who obtain the supply from Petronas at below market prices.Only 20% of the oil produced by Petronas is sold through direct open bidding. Because of this arrangement, Petronas is not maximizing its revenue by dealing direct with the open world market. Instead, it has been incurring incalculable losses for the nation and for the people. How much this huge loss is, we will never know. It is understood that this s upply through the option holders is sold by contracts with a binding agreement for 20 or 30 years, causing huge losses for Petronas when oil price increases, as Petronas would then have to continue selling at the old agreed price.Because of the agreement (contract) is not disclose to the public, thus, the public do not know who these option holders are and why they are in the first place. In general, married people are more busy because simply the strong bond between their children and their partners are tangible. Secondly, companionship is another distinct difference between single and married people lives. A husband will depend on his wife, and a wife will depend on her husband. Livelihood will be achieved easily by married people from their partners, parents and from their children. In contrast, single people don’t depend on anybody except their friends and parents. They can’t trust anyone else to share their secrets or to rely on shoulders. However, livelihood can be achieved from their parents and their friends. Lastly, married people are more responsible and busy than single people. They have to manage their money or expenses gently and economically every day. They are also responsible for raising their children and guiding their families in the right manner. Otherwise, they can ruin their lives easily. Married people are also responsible to manage their time for their families. They have to spend their time with their children, husband or wife every day. In contrast, people who still remain single don’t have schedule to look after their children or partners and they are not obligated to guide and/or manage their livings. Therefore, they are much less responsible than married people. There they are; lifestyle, companionship, and responsibility are the 3 main differences between single and married people lives. In my opinion, being a married person is better than being a single person, because we are created by God with partner like Adam and Eve story. Independence * Once you are married, you no longer exist as an independent entity. You might keep your job and your relationship might be excellent, but from your wedding onward you must always think as a husband and wife. The decisions you make affect your future together. The things you buy have an impact on both of your finances. Everything you do must be considered from your husband or wife's point of view. When you are single, you only have to consider your own interests when making decisions, but you are also short the emotional support that makes hard decisions easier to bear. Money * Getting married can have significant monetary benefits, but it also can be quite costly. Married couples receive a tax break and benefit from the ability to pool their financial resources. Mortgage and rent payments are split. Single individuals receive no tax break and must cover their living costs on their own. If you are single, you have more free time but also might find that your free time is not as fun without someone with which to spend it.
